![]() ![]() I think these ideas would freshen up the series while staying loyal to its roots, which is being serious, carrying massive guns for a variety of technological backgrounds, wearing sunglasses and fighting waves of enemies while taking names and progressing though awesome levels. You can use a base model (like Sam) and then replace his shirt with a Jaguar Warrior outfit (Imagine how amusing it would be, to see Sam wearing the fur of a jaguar over him, with his sunglasses on and holding a shotgun? You can even setup a default coop one and deathmatch one (if needed). You could allow players to customize their player model and have appearance settings/profiles for each multiplayer team. You could make each team unique in appearance, such as perhaps the "Cohort team" which is roman style soliders with guns, or Aztec Warriors on another team, etc.Ħ. Weapons are found on different areas of the map, with some provisions in the spawn areas. No level ups or anything stupid like that, just basic fighting. This would be strictly pvp, maybe implementing some NPC defenders or something. The warfare mode would utilize unique maps designed for such fighting, (for example, maybe a Roman Colosseum is the center of the battlefield and there are 4 doorways at the top ends which lead to bases). You could make maps feature 2 teams, 3 teams or even 4 teams (for crazier battles). This game mode would give multiple teams their own headquarters, where they would need to destroy each other's bases. So you could essentially make tier-based randomization based off monster type, strength or size.)ĥ. Perhaps include a feature which allows randomized monster spawning (which is separated by tier, to prevent the randomized chance of spawning 90% bio mechanoids and 10% minions. To add some new features into coop: Give coop games new functionality, such as teamwork-based sequences in order to progress in each level (which would be different from single-player style coop, still allow players to play traditional style). This could add in a nice contrast to the ancient/medieval ones.Ĥ. Throw in a Sci-fi mars Colony (future travel) with modular buildings using some kind of synthetic material, with vast open plains of mars landscape for big battlegrounds as well as a large martian city. You could easily find inspiration for old Chinese/Indian structures in their prominent cities, which could lead you guys to make some interesting exotic levels and locations.ģ. Give us some kind of ancient or medieval asian themed chapter, such as India or China in their throwback dates. You could have Sam fight hordes of enemies inside the Colosseum (when it was 100% condition), deal with bulls running through the roman streets and even have the player go through the temple areas and use an aqueduct as a level.Ģ. Give us an ancient Rome urban landscape (as a chapter or theme) as well as the surrounding lands of Rome which depicts Rome in its ancient time (instead of its modern version). ![]() So here is what I would totally love to see in the next Serious Sam (if it isn't too late to suggest this) which would possibly freshen up the game:ġ. I have other suggestions I will list below. I know embelleshment tends to lead to deviation but that is ok as you need to obviously accomodate the style of the gameplay. I loved the ancient egyptian architecture and its display, as well as accurate depictions of the Aztec Empire and their temples. If you consider making another Serious Sam (Which I sure as hell hope you guys do) I have a request that I want implemented.Ĭan you do the level design just like the First and Second encounters? I miss the older style, where you guys would incorporate undamaged versions of ancient cities and civilizations. ![]()
